Anwar Montasir is an artist living in Brooklyn, New York. He moved to Brooklyn, New York after graduating from the University of Arizona in May of 1999. He received his MFA from Vermont College of Union Institute and University, a low-residency program in Montpelier, VT, in August of 2006. Anwar and four other Vermont College students formed the art collective This Must Be The Place in the spring of 2005. Anwar has taught a variety of digital media classes at Katharine Gibbs School in NYC since the fall of 2002. He is also employed as a web developer at Simple Circle LLC.
